Show your support for new homes at Acorn Meadows, Sydney Road in Crewe

Building more of the homes Crewe needs - without building on more land

Watkin Jones is bringing forward two planning applications at Acorn Meadows - one to update the approved housing mix by replacing four-bedroom homes with more attainable two- and three-bedroom properties, and another to deliver 24 additional homes within the existing site boundary.

The site, located off Sydney Road, is on land already approved for housing and identified by Cheshire East Council as an area for much-needed new homes.

The proposals will help deliver more attainable homes for first-time buyers, growing families, and older people looking to downsize - all without increasing the site boundary, building on additional greenfield land, or reducing the amount of open space provided across the Acorn Meadows development.

What this scheme will deliver:

More of the right homes for local people

Meeting demand for smaller, more suitable homes that help people stay in the area.

Smarter use of an already approved site

Delivering more homes on land already consented for development - no extra land used.

Helping tackle the housing crisis

More homes in Crewe where they’re needed most, supporting local people of all ages.

More attainable homes for local buyers

Homes that better match what local residents are looking for - helping people take their next step on the housing ladder.
